| program | Adelaide foodies are in for a treat when The Manse’s highly respected head chef Ayhan Erkoc pops on an apron and joins novice cooks in the kitchen at the Outdoors on Parade cooking class. Featuring a different chef each class, Tuesday, 24 March will see Ayhan sharing his top tips as he demonstrates his cheffing prowess in the OOP kitchen. Chat to Ayhan as he cooks a seasonal three or four-course meal for you and your friends – and use the opportunity to ask everything you ever wanted to know about cooking. With matching wines provided by Barossa Valley’s award-winning winery Langmeil, this is sure to be an unmissable event. Head chef Ayhan turns high quality local produce into the restaurant’s modern French cuisine, and now home cooks have the chance to get all the pointers they need to recreate some of these fabulous dishes at home. Ayhan and his brigade of chefs have been recognised for their high standards of excellence, with the head chef himself being praised for his nod to molecular gastronomy while maintaining a respect for core ingredients. At a cost of $75 per person, the course will run from 6.30pm to approximately 9pm at the OOP cooking school. Date: 24 March 2009 |
