| program | Patisse, located in the Danks Street Precinct has released their cooking class program for February to June 2009. In addition to the very popular classes such as Introduction to Pastry and Dinner Party Desserts, new additions include the mouthwatering Introduction to Chocolate and festive favourites such as Easter Treats. All these classes are four hour hands on classes led by Natascha Schwarzer (previously at Balzac and Lindt) aimed at sharing the traditions of baking. Michelle Guberina, Director of Patisse, Convenor of Slow Food Sydney (former General Manager of Trippas White Catering) has recently returned from working in the international office of Slow Food in Piemonte, Italy. “Its so important that the traditions of food are shared. In todays society of a too fast paced life, the simpler things tend to be forgotten – learning to bake is a great way to reconnect with food traditions, use the amazing seasonal and local produce that we have and importantly share delicious handmade treats with those you love”. Patisse operates as a cafe/patisserie, Monday to Saturday, provides a wholesale range of cakes and desserts to cafes, restaurants and venues across Sydney and hosts cooking classes focusing on pastry and baking. |
